Some of the X Men and Spidey have to deal with an infestation down in the sewers which includes saving super nerdy kids OVERALL GRADE B.

With Great Power comes sh tty artwork At the risk of sounding like a big jerk I just want to state that I absolutely HATE the so called art of Chris Bachalo Dude EVERYTHING you draw looks like it is made out of marshmallows. This guy has led me to AVOID and NOT read MANY books that I otherwise would have been interested in reading This guy led me to the decision I will no longer read books with sh tty art So, Thank you library, but I will return this one unread, and I will spend my time With Great Power comes sh tty artwork At the risk of sounding like a big jerk I just want to state that I absolutely HATE the so called art of Chris Bachalo Dude EVERYTHING you draw looks like ...

There should not be any way for me to be displeased with a comic in which the X Men fight giant mutant lizards in the sewers of New York This should be completely unpossible, dudes. So let s go down the checklist of Ways To Ruin Comics 1 Large chunk of the comic takes place in internet chatrooms Internet chatrooms haven t existed since the early 90 s NO ONE WANTS TO READ PAGES OF CHAT IN A VISUAL NARRATIVE YOU MOUTH BREATHER.2 Villain speeches longer than a page ESPECIALLY NOT MULTI ISSUE There should not be any way for me to be displeased with a comic in which the X Men fight giant mutant lizards in the sewers of New York This should be completely unpossible, dudes. So let s go down the checklist of Ways To Ruin Comics 1 Large chunk of the comic takes place in internet chatrooms Internet chatrooms haven t existed since the early 90 s NO ONE WANTS TO READ PAGES OF CHAT IN A VISUAL NARRATIVE YOU MOUTH BREATHER.2 Villain speeches longer than a page ESPECIAL...

I can sense a pattern is forming here it was like The Curse Of The Mutants replacing the Vampires with Lizards it was cool to see Wolverine and Storm in Lizardy form it was also cool and funny watching Spidy in the mix of all what was happening. The arc story started with Cyclopes trying to generate a good publicity for the team...

If Gischler s goal was to recreate the context free comics of the 70s, where everything was a big fight and there were no arcs to advance, he s done a great job The result has good dialogue, interesting artwork, and so little depth that it s barely worth reading.

I haven t read any X men comics in a while so when I saw this for 99p on the Kindle I thought it had to be worth a go plus I was intrigued about the idea of the X men going public rather than hiding away basically underground. There was good and no so good I struggled to like the art work but I thought the writing was quite good I like the fact that Storm and Emma bickered, I thought that was quite believable and it was nice to see Storm being a bit down down to earth in her attitude Gambit I haven t read any X men comics in a while so when I saw this for 99p on the Kindle I thought it had to be worth a go plus I was intrigued abo...

This was a nice little romp of a story arc The X Men are getting set up and have hired a PR firm to highlight their accomplishments, since people don t tend to hear about the good things they do Strangely, though, while looking for something good to do, they go to New York again, and go into the sewers They are rescuing abducted children, so it looks good when they finish, but it seems like a bit of an odd setup The story focuses on Dark Beast using the Lizard to conduct DNA altering experim This was a nice little romp of a story arc The X Men are getting set up and have hired a PR firm to highlight their accomplishments, since people don t tend to hear about the good things they do Strangely, though, while looking for something good to do, they go to New York again, and go into the sewers They are rescuing abducted children, so it looks good when they finish, but it seems like a bit of an odd set...

Like Curse of the Mutants before it, With Great Power is surprisingly good, despite some bad press around it The first four issues are the titular With Great Power arc, and instead of just retreading the Shed arc from Amazing Soider Man, it tells a vastly different story that feels organic for the X Men, with a surprising villain too...

FIRST READIt was an okay story I haven t read much with Spiderman together with the X Men so that was cool, but the story was a little bit basic Could have hadaction and not such an easy to figure out storyline where you pretty much knew where they were going the whole time I liked the artwork here, but a few times the captions were so full of action it was hard to see exactly what was going on.SECOND READFollowing CURSE OF THE MUTANTS this time, the story makes a littlesens FIRST READIt was an okay story I haven t read much with Spiderman together with the X Men so that was cool, but the story was a little bit basic Could have hadaction and not such an easy to figure out storyline where you pretty much knew where they were going the whole time I liked the artwork here, but...

When the heroic age mandate came down, I imagine Gischler is in an awkward spot this series is supposed to be all about the X Men interacting with other heroes But they ve just moved to the West Coast, and every superhero in the marvel universe lives in New York This leads to the absurd set up of having the X Men fly across the country to New York to help save the day I guess New York is also the only place with bad guys Anyway, after the stupid set up, the book is quite enjoyable I enjoy When the heroic age mandate came down, I imagine Gischler is in an awkward spot this series is supposed to be all about the X Men interacting with other heroes But they ve just moved to the West Coast, and every superhe...
